Training Philosophy
Support Every Step of the Way
I offer personalized training plans based on YOUR objectives and YOUR personal life circumstances. My main priority is for YOU to reach the Goals and have fun along the way.
My training plans include power and pace duration testing in order to maximize the return on time invested. The basic structure includes shorter sessions mid-week and longer endurance work on the weekend to provide structure, and consistency and allow time for your friends, family, and career.

I wouldn’t have been able to hit my goal without Tiago’s help. It was only my second half marathon and I am not a natural long-distance runner so my aim of under 2 hours was quite a feat to say the least. He provided me with weekly training schedules which were tailored to my progress the week before, keeping me on track and ensuring I improved gradually and avoided injury. The almost weekly phone check-ins were great as we could talk through what I found particularly hard about the week’s training and he provided really helpful advice and encouragement. I ended up running it comfortably within 2 hours which, for quite a hilly half, I was over the moon with! I would without a doubt recommend his services to anyone of any ability, his support over the months of training made the process a million times more enjoyable.

I started working with Tiago to prepare for my first HALF Ironman, with only 3 months and no previous triathlon experience.
Tiago caught me in a tough period where I was already beaten from several tough trail races, so my motivation to sacrifice my schedule for training was low.
What I loved the most from the beginning was his 360 perspective on my life, which I find hard to find in other coaches. He had a strong empathy for my life outside training and always took that into account when planning/helping with training sessions. This was key for sustainable and joyful training.
In the end, I accomplished my objective of finishing HALF Ironman in 6 hours.
